Emily Pitsch First Elected Trainee Member of the ASBMB PAAC

The ASBMB Public Affairs Advisory Committee (PAAC) is a committee that helps inform the efforts of the society’s public affairs department. There are 18 faculty from across the U.S. that carry out tasks such as offering recommendations for policy changes, brainstorming and organizing events for ASBMB members (e.g., conference sessions or webinars), policy projects conducted in Working Groups, and also reviewing comment letters or statements put together by staff members.

Starting this year, the PAAC is expanding to include two non-voting seats for BMB trainees. They invited Emily Pitsch (Hughes Lab) to be the first trainee elected as a non-voting member of the PAAC. The term will be for two years.

Congratulations, Emily!
