And the Award goes to...

On September 7th, 2018 the Department of Biochemistry held their 2nd Annual Biochem Bash & Awards Ceremony. The event is formally know as the Biochemistry Annual Picnic. We have shifted the focus of the event to the Awards that are presented to a Department Graduate Student and Postdoc each year.

James Fulcher received the Marjorie Riches Gunn student award for Graduate Student Excellence and Jörg Votteller received the Eveline Bruenger Postdoctoral Award for Excellence. We were privileged to have Marge Gunn attend the event, and Chris Hill said a few words in remembrance of Eveline who passed away earlier this year.  It was beautiful day, delicious food was served, and fun was had by all. It was great success!
